If you’re craving some Japanese milk pudding and want something that’s easy, you’re at the right spot!
When I first saw a similar recipe from a book that I had recently got as a gift, I couldn’t believe how easy it was to make milk pudding! As the name suggests, the real highlight with this simple, creamy dessert is the milk, though it is highly complimented with the brown sugar and honey syrup that is also down below <3
When you make this, I highly recommend having clear glasses to see the pretty pudding inside (unfortunately I did not have the foresight to do this myself) and I also highly recommend either doing this right before you go to bed (so the pudding can set while you sleep) or do this with ample time on your hands.
Depending on how efficient your fridge is or how cold it can get, the milk pudding may take 1-2 hours to fully set.
When your pudding is setting, I suggest that you start making the syrup because you’ll be popping in this baby in the fridge, too, to cool off!
By the way, if you don’t want to make this syrup, don’t fret– you can always add things such as fruit compote, other types of syrup, jams, or just eat it plain~ Also, to make it more convenient, I’ll put these two recipes on separate cards.
Enjoy! <3

- Once slightly simmering, remove milk mixture from heat and pour into glasses evenly.

- Once dissolved, take off heat and add in honey. Stir to incorporate.

- Distribute sauce onto pudding, adding a thin layer of it, Serve and enjoy!
Careful, this syrup is pretty strong and sweet, so be discrete when putting it on
